Alexander Wang Pre-Fall 2011

The color palette is centered around black, brown, and gray, the construction is immaculate, and the looks embody the cool, downtown style with a hint of masculinity that we’ve come to expect from Wang. However, Wang has yet again surprised us with the addition of sheer fabrics and ruffles. In response to the collection’s emphasis on commercial appeal, Wang refers to the line as “the bread and butter, and the dessert later” for Fall 2011. If Pre-Fall is meant to get the basics of the season out of the way, we’re excited to see these fun and forward-thinking designs for Fall.
